Important note - iOS compatibility
Samsung watches are not officially supported under iOS - unlike the Apple Watch. It is not possible to fully pair the Galaxy Watch with an iPhone. This means
- No synchronization with Apple Health
- No support for Health Connect on iOS
- No connection with Move Republic
In short:
Samsung Galaxy Watches only work with Move Republic with Android.
ANDROID:
What you need:
- Samsung Galaxy Watch (e.g. Galaxy Watch 4, 5, 6... with Wear OS)
- Samsung Health app
- Health Connect app (from Google)
- Move Republic app
Step by step:

Install Health Connect

Download Health Connect from the Google Play Store (if not already installed)

Install Samsung Health

Pair your Galaxy Watch with your smartphone

Make sure the watch collects data (steps, workouts, heart rate, etc.)

Connect Samsung Health with Health Connect

Go to: Samsung Health → Settings → Health Connect

Activate the integration and allow data sharing (steps, calories, distance, heart rate...)

Check permissions in Health Connect
- Open the Health Connect app and make sure
- :Samsung Health is allowed to write data
- Move Republic is allowed to read data
- Open the Health Connect app and make sure
- Set up Move Republic
- Go to: Profile → Settings → My fitness apps
- Activate synchronization with Health Connect
The data from your Galaxy Watch is automatically forwarded to Move Republic via Samsung Health → Health Connect
Important
So that everything works smoothly:
- Open the Samsung Health app regularly to keep the data up to date
- Check in Health Connect whether all authorizations are active
- If no data is displayed, open in turn: Samsung Health → Health Connect → Move Republic
