How are Activity Points calculated for stationary workouts?
Move Republic allows the recording of stationary workouts in sports facilities (swimming pools, gyms, etc.) as well as at private locations using the start/stop function directly in the app.
To record a stationary workout, geolocation services must be enabled on your phone. This is necessary for the app to show nearby sports facilities and to confirm you are at the selected location during the workout.
If the app detects that you are no longer at the facility, the workout will end automatically, as will the geotracking. It is not possible to record a stationary workout retroactively.
How points are calculated
Activity Points (AP) are awarded for the time spent at the sports facility. Every minute is rewarded according to the progressive-regressive model:
-
Only stationary workouts longer than 15 minutes are considered.
-
The system considers the total time of all stationary workouts per day.
-
Simultaneous recording in the app and on a sports watch will result in one of the workouts being rejected.
-
Steps generated during the workout continue to be counted separately.
