Connect Mi Band on Android and iOS
Android:
What you need:

A Mi Band (e.g. Mi Band 5, 6, 7, 8...)

The Zepp Life or Mi Fitness app - depending on the model of the band

The Health Connect app (from Google)

The Move Republic app
Step by step:

Install the Health Connect app

Download Health Connect from the Google Play Store

Install Zepp Life or Mi Fitness

Older bands: use Zepp Life

Newer bands (e.g. Mi Band 7+, Smart Band 8): use Mi Fitness

Pair your band with the app
-
Activate Bluetooth
-
Log in with your Xiaomi account

Add your device (the band) to the app
-

Connect the app to Health Connect

In Zepp Life / Mi Fitness:
Settings → Data sharing / Linked services → Health Connect -
Activate all necessary permissions (e.g. steps, calories, distance)

In the Health Connect app :
-
Make sure that Zepp Life / Mi Fitness has write permissions

Make sure Move Republic has permissions to read

Set up Move Republic
-
Open your profile → My settings → My sports apps

Activate synchronization with Health Connect
-
Done!
Data from the band (e.g. steps, activity) is sent to Health Connect via Zepp Life / Mi Fitness and automatically forwarded from there to Move Republic.
Important:

Open Zepp Life or Mi Fitness regularly so that the data is updated

Check the active authorizations in Health Connect

If data is not transferred, open one after the other: Zepp Life / Mi Fitness → Health Connect → Move Republic
iOS:
What you need:
- Mi Band (e.g. Mi Band 5, 6, 7, 8...)
- The Zepp Life (formerly Mi Fit) or Mi Fitness app - depending on the model of your band
- The activated Apple Health app on your iPhone
Step by step:

Download Zepp Life or Mi Fitness from the App Store
- Older bands: use Zepp Life
- Newer bands (e.g. Mi Band 7+, Smart Band 8): use Mi Fitness

Pair your band with the app
- Activate Bluetooth
- Log in to your Xiaomi account and add your device
- Open the app settings and find the option to integrate with Apple Health

Set up Apple Health integration
- In Mi Fitness:
Account → Settings → Data Sharing → Apple Health - In Zepp Life:
Profile → Add accounts → Apple Health - Allow all permissions (steps, activities, etc.)
- Confirm access via your iPhone
- When you are asked if the app can access Apple Health - click Allow
- In Mi Fitness:

Set up Move Republic
- Open the app and go to:
Profile → My settings → My fitness apps - Make sure that synchronization with Apple Health is activated
- Open the app and go to:
Your band data (e.g. steps) will automatically appear in the Apple Health app and will then be forwarded to Move Republic.
Important:
So that all activities are counted correctly:
- Open the Apple Health app regularly
- Then open Move Republic to complete the synchronization
