Steps Not Syncing or Only Partially Shown (iPhone)

This article helps you if your steps from Apple Health are not showing — or only partially — in the Move Republic app, even though all updates are installed.

  1. Check permissions: On your iPhone, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Move Republic and make sure "Steps" (and other activity data) is set to Read.
  2. Reconnect Apple Health: Open the Move Republic app, go to the fitness app settings, disconnect Apple Health, restart the app, and reconnect Apple Health.
  3. Check Apple Health data: Open the Health app and verify that step data is actually being recorded there (e.g. by your iPhone or Apple Watch).
  4. Enable background app refresh: Go to Settings → Move Republic and make sure Background App Refresh is turned on.
  5. Restart the app: Fully close the Move Republic app (swipe up in the app switcher) and reopen it.

Tip: Step syncing is not real-time — it may take a few minutes for new data to appear.
