What is Summit Log, and how does the app recognise summits?

Summit Log knows thousands of summits and recognises from your GPS activities which ones you've actually stood on, with no manual ticking.

EXPLANATION

  • A summit counts as soon as your GPS track was up there.
  • The app shows the distance to the nearest summit you haven't reached yet.
  • Completing a regional set earns a crown, plus you see elevation gain and summits per year.

STEP BY STEP

  1. Record an activity with GPS, such as a hike or tour.
  2. Reached summits appear automatically in your log.
  3. Check regional sets and work toward the crown.
