How to record a home workout?
Working out in the comfort of your home, a yoga session on the mat, or cardio machine exercises are great ways to earn activity points in Move Republic.
How to properly log a workout?
To ensure your home workout is approved, make sure it meets the following requirements:
1. Activity duration
- Minimum duration: The minimum workout time is 15 minutes. Shorter activities are not eligible.
- Maximum duration: The maximum approved duration for a single home workout is 150 minutes.
2. Verification photo (required)
Every home workout submission must include a recent photo. Submissions without a photo or with a blank file cannot be verified.
What kind of photo should you attach?
Photo requirements depend on how long your session lasted:
- Short workout (up to 30 minutes)For shorter sessions (e.g., morning stretches, a quick warm-up, light mobility), a photo simply showing that the workout took place is sufficient. What works best? A photo in workout gear, gym shoes, your prepared exercise space, a silhouette/shadow, or a post-workout selfie.
- Longer workout (31 to 150 minutes)For longer sessions (e.g., strength training, aerobics, extended yoga):
- The photo must clearly show an exercise mat or any sports equipment used during your session (e.g., fitness accessories, free weights, resistance bands, cardio machines, or their displays).
What should you avoid in the photo?
Your submission may be rejected if the photo fails to confirm that the workout took place. Avoid submitting photos of empty spaces without any equipment or workout context (e.g., bare floor, blank wall, furniture), as well as completely black, blurry, or unreadable images.
